Overview
CW-DXD
A Windows command-line encoder for converting PCM audio to 352.8 kHz / 24-bit DXD with selectable resampling phase and streaming conversion.
Features
- 352.8 kHz / 24-bit DXD output
- WAV, RF64 and FLAC PCM input workflows
- Selectable linear-phase or minimum-phase resampling
- Streaming conversion for large source files
- TPDF dither support
- Configurable thread count
- Windows x64 and x86 release builds
Practical comparison
How CW-DXD differs
General-purpose sample-rate converters can produce DXD-rate PCM, but CW-DXD presents the task as a dedicated audio workflow with the relevant choices exposed directly.
Compared with generic resamplers
The output target is deliberately constrained to the conventional 352.8 kHz / 24-bit DXD workflow instead of presenting hundreds of unrelated conversion choices.
Phase choice
Linear-phase and minimum-phase modes are explicit user choices rather than buried inside a general filter configuration.
Large-file operation
Streaming conversion avoids requiring an entire high-resolution source and destination workflow to reside in memory at once.
Command line
Command examples
Basic DXD conversion
Convert PCM input to the default DXD output workflow.
C:\> cw-dxd.exe input.wav output.wav
Two processing threads
Set the conversion thread count explicitly.
C:\> cw-dxd.exe input.wav output.wav --threads 2
FLAC source
Convert a FLAC PCM source directly to DXD-rate WAV.
C:\> cw-dxd.exe input.flac output.wav
Project notes
The encoder has been validated across common source-rate families including 44.1, 48, 96 and 192 kHz material.
